Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta 2022 is returning for 2022! Last year’s event was a huge success, welcoming thousands of people to watch the balloon flights, enjoy the fairground rides and soak up some live entertainment. It will be back at York Knavesmire from 23rd to 25th September 2022, and more details will be confirmed over the next few weeks.
The fairground rides will be back, with the huge inflatable labyrinth challenge being one of the most popular for older children. Live music is a big part of the Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta’s popularity, and the following headliners have already been revealed: Scouting for Girls, Craig Charles, Gabrielle and Andy and the Odd Socks! The Night Glow – when you can see the balloons glowing against the sky while they’re tethered to the ground – is a wonderful experience too. And we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a mass balloon launch or two: the sight of them flying across York is something to behold (and take lots of photos of!).
