Wonderlab at the Railway Museum
The Railway Museum has long been a top family-friendly destination in York, but it’s set to get even better with the opening of Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery this summer. Wonderlab is fully interactive and hands-on. Play your way through 18 mind-bending challenges and fuel children’s curiosity with amazing live experiments. Test your engineering skills as you step into the human wind tunnel, launch a rocket, and build big, then immerse yourself in an explosive live show to reveal the science behind the fun!
Opening times – Wonderlab is open when the museum is open (daily), but admission hours for Wonderlab vary. Check the Railway Museum website for the latest times.
About admission – While admission to the Railway Museum itself remains free, there is a charge for tickets to the Wonderlab gallery. You must also book a free museum admission ticket to enter. You need to select a 15-minute time slot for Wonderlab, but once you’re in the gallery there’s no limit on how long you can stay.
Ticket prices – Day tickets for Wonderlab cost from £7.20, with annual passes from £13. Children aged 3 and under go free.
