Woldies Lavender & Nature Farm is a lovely day out for families, a short drive from York in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. There’s plenty to explore, from nature gardens to trails and a variety of options for play. In a beautiful 12 acre setting of lavender, wildflowers and woodland, there are lots of nature activities and games for everyone to enjoy together. New for 2022 is the Bees & Friends Garden. Make your way through the honeycomb to the giant observational bee hive, become a pollinator and pollinate the giant flower, help Woldie Willow track bumblebees and find out how honey is made.

Other popular activities at Woldie’s include counting and learning about different types of butterflies in the butterfly garden, spotting birds in the bird hide and looking out for fish, frogs and newts in the nature ponds. While you’re there, why not ride the miniature railway, drop by the den zone, challenge your family to a game of footgolf and get lost in the willow maze?

This Easter, Woldie Willow has a special easter trail to follow. From the willow warren rabbit tunnels to the giant spider’s web, find all the animals in their habitats, spot the hidden eggs and crack the code to win a prize. A return visit during the summer is a must too, when all the lavender is in bloom and the newly designed bee observation hive will open.
