The Nun Monkton Ferry Boat is one of those quirky York things to do that we love to tell you about. It's a community-run venture, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a short river crossing between the Beningbrough 'beach' and the pretty village of Nun Monkton. Open in the summer months on weekends and bank holidays (11am to 4pm), it's a fun thing to do and a good way to explore the other side of the river. Why not make it part of your Beningbrough river walk? Find out more about the Beningbrough river walk here.
- Adult return £5, single £3; child return £2.50, single £1.50; under 5s and dogs free; cash only.
