Calling all bookworms! The Summer Reading Challenge is back at the Explore York libraries, ready to save us from cries of ‘I’m bored!’ during the long summer holidays. This year The Reading Agency have teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund to keep children reading and helping them learn to save the planet, too. The Reading Challenge is always popular with parents in York, and no wonder: it’s free, fun and keeps gobbling up stories even when school’s out. We do it every year with our own kids and they really enjoy it.
Signing up to the Reading Challenge
The Challenge begins on Saturday 17th July and runs until Saturday 11th September 2021, and you can sign up at any Explore York Library (excluding the cafes and Community Stadium). You can also sign up online through the Summer Reading Challenge website.
