Discover York after dark as Shambles Market hosts a Halloween night market this October half-term. Browse handcrafted goods from local traders and Yorkshire businesses, tuck into street food and warm up with a hot drink as you soak up the spooky atmosphere. It’s a lovely excuse to wrap up warm and enjoy an autumn evening in the city. Why not combine it with The Little York Ghost Hunt, one of our top free events during October half term?

Indie York will be co-hosting the evening, thanks to funding from the York and North Yorkshire Mayor and Combined Authority to help make York’s city centre even more welcoming for families.

Date: Wednesday 28 October 2026
Time: 7.30pm to 10pm
