What happened in York before and after the Gunpowder Plot? This new exhibition takes families beyond the story of Guy Fawkes, with rare objects, lantern-triggered audio, costumes, games and crafts. It’s a chance to explore the city’s part in the plot together, in the Bar Convent itself. There’s a lovely café with a children’s menu for to refuel afterwards, too.
