Murton Park is not only an open-air museum experience, but it also plays host to some of the best-known historical re-enactment societies in the North of England. Look out for special events held throughout the year when groups like the Trailblazer cowboys or the Jorfor’s Hall Vikings take up residence at the park. Plus, they have their own railway, animals, indoor and outdoor play areas, and living history sites… there really is something for everyone. Their Christmas experience is hugely popular with York families, too.
