Discover amazing machines and uncover incredible stories of the people who built and flew them, at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington near York. Based on the site of an original WW2 RAF bomber base, we are one of the largest independent aviation museums in the country, with around 60 aircraft and vehicles in our collection.
From the mighty Halifax bomber to the jaw-dropping Victor tanker, our aircraft will fascinate and enthral – and not just the hardcore plane buffs.
We have displays and exhibitions, an aviation-themed play area, a café and shop.
We have free parking, are dog-friendly and even have a woodland walk, from where you can look out onto the airfield next door.
You can book online, for a small saving, or buy tickets at admissions. Standard admission tickets offer free return for 12 months (conditions apply).
