Christmas at Moxy York

moxy york review

Nothing says ‘Christmas’ more than staying in a Santa’s grotto themed hotel room, and that’s exactly what Moxy York is offering this festive season. Imagine the delight on your children’s faces as they open the door (after a lot of faffing with the key card, if you’re anything like us) to see their hotel room adorned with sparkling lights, festive bedding and even a glittering Christmas tree! We were lucky enough to stay their with our two daughters and we all adored the twist on a normal hotel room. This year, you can also tuck into a Christmas dinner fondue in the Moxy’s bar/restaurant, which is one of the tastiest and most fun family meals we’ve had in a long time. Expect bite-sized Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and other beautifully made trimmings and a steaming pot of gravy to dip them in!

We can’t recommend it highly enough. What’s more, the Moxy’s relaxed atmosphere and focus on fun means that kids can relax and be themselves. Bored of sitting down at the table? Hop over to the table football, have a game of Guess Who?, play the arcade games or even have a game of pool! The staff are lovely and the location’s perfect for exploring York. It’s a great place for families to stay, and you can read our full review here.
