Sunday Storytime with Story Craft Theatre at Castle Howard

Every Sunday in June they will be hosting rather special craft and storytelling sessions (various time slots on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th June 2021). With Castle Howard’s wonderful new exhibition in place, they’ll be keeping the workshops moth-related: a great way to engage little folk in these wonderful and incredibly important insects. The sessions are approximately 50 minutes long, with hellos and a little warm-up to start, followed by moth craft-making (done together with all materials provided). Then it’s time for some interactive storytelling, with games, music, characters and much more. The sessions are based on beautiful picture books, either ‘An Extraordinary Ordinary Moth’ by Karlin Gray or ‘Luna Moth’ by Yunmie Kim.

Pre-booking is essential as the number of bubbles is limited for each workshop. The workshops will take place outside the Walled Garden. There will be some cover if needed but they suggest bringing along suitable clothing, sun cream (fingers crossed), and a blanket as you will be asked to sit on the floor.

Suitable for 2 to 7-year-olds, tickets for Sunday Storytime must be purchased in addition to a Gardens ticket.
