Hansel and Gretel with Opera North at the NCEM

Discover the enchanting world of Hansel and Gretel with this pop-up performance of Humperdinck’s bewitching masterpiece at the NCEM in York. Journey through the woods and gorge yourself on the exciting twists and turns of the plot as you meet the characters along the way. Just beware of the evil witch, and don’t stray too far from your tour guide – you never know what trickery you may encounter along the way…Performed by a small group of professional singers and accompanied by accordion, this mini-opera is the perfect opportunity to experience the magic of opera.

Please note, performances will be held outside with performers and audiences socially-distanced. Tickets are limited in accordance with government guidance. Areas for up to a maximum of 5 people are available to book, each area will contain two chairs and one large mat to sit or stand on. The weather in England can be unpredictable, so they recommend dressing for the weather and bringing waterproofs just in case.
