Explore York Mansion House
From July 22nd, York Mansion House is flinging off the dust sheets, polishing the silver and getting ready to welcome visitors back to this centuries old home, and the heart of city society.
For almost 300 years, York Mansion House has stood in St Helen’s Square, the official residence of the Lord Mayor. Now, as the house gets ready to reopen after another challenging chapter, they are digging deep into their frivolous, decadent, and scandalous past to create a series of brand new, bookable guided tours.
They will be introducing these tours throughout July and August, kicking off with their Discovery tour, which is suitable for all ages. However, they know that little ones love to explore their vast rooms and hidden chambers, so they are delighted to be offering a tour exclusively for little Lord Mayors. This will be coming soon, so make sure you follow them on social media to be the first to find out when booking will begin…
Family passes and discounts for York residents are available! Please visit mansionhouseyork.com where the booking platform will be launching soon. With a number of new steps in place to ensure visitor safety, they have been awarded Visit England’s Good to Go industry standard, so you can be assured of a safe and stress-free visit.
