Fancy a family meal out in York without breaking the bank? York Restaurant Week is back in its new two-week format from 9th to 22nd March 2026, and it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy eating out as a family or booking a babysitter for a cheeky night out.

With more than 100 restaurants, cafés, pubs and street food places taking part, there’s something for everyone (no promises, but even the pickiest eater should be happy…). Deals are priced between £5 and £30, making it easy to try somewhere new or revisit a family favourite. New venues taking part for the first time in March 2026 include Drift-In, Howl, Love Cheese and 200 Degrees Coffee (ideal for sleep-deprived parents).

It’s so easy to take part. Just head to www.yorkrestaurantweek.co.uk to browse the offers and download free vouchers from 23rd February. You can claim as many as you like, but it’s a good idea to book ahead – York Restaurant Week is popular!

Since its launch, York Restaurant Week has generated an estimated £5 to £6 million for the local economy. Organised by York BID, the event champions the city centre’s brilliant hospitality scene and encourages people to try somewhere new.

It takes place twice a year, in March and October, giving families and food lovers a great excuse to explore York’s fantastic restaurants, cafés and bars with plenty of good-value offers to tempt you out of the kitchen.

How It Works

1. Click the OFFERS tab to see all of the food and drinks venues taking part, and use the filters to search for your preferred dining option.

2. Click on a venue profile to view the available food and drink offers, and other useful information.

3. When you’ve found an offer you want, click the SELECT OFFER button, and when prompted, specify the NUMBER of people in your party. Then click ADD TO BASKET.

4. When you’re finished adding offers, click PROCEED TO CHECKOUT and fill in the short form.

5. Once completed, links to your offer VOUCHERS will appear on the order confirmation page. A copy will also be sent to your email (make sure to check your junk folder).

6. Contact your chosen venue in advance to book a table (if required) and to check availability. Please also pay attention to any TERMS printed on the offer VOUCHER.

7. During York Restaurant Week, simply present the VOUCHER to a member of staff when you arrive at the venue (either on your phone or as a printed copy).
