Welcome to the World at Friargate Theatre
This interactive show for 0-5 years will take you on a journey of Mother Earth’s children taking their first steps in the world. Despite their strong emotions, they discover magical mindful moments that support them to regulate their feelings and soon realise that they can do anything. You’ll leave feeling connected, warm and full of love. Saturday 7th September, 11am and 1.30pm
Heritage Open Days (free!)
Heritage Open Days are back for 2024, with lots of lovely places to explore free of charge. The event takes place from 6th to 15th September, but the dates you can access the places taking part vary, so check online. There are lots of places to explore near York, including Beningbrough Hall and Nunnington Hall.
Discover Dinosaurs in the Centre of York (free!)
Get ready to meet Betsy the Triceratops and Roxy the T-Rex and a selection of adorable baby dinosaurs and their dinosaur rangers to keep them in order! There’ll also be representatives from the police and fire services on site, with the opportunity to check out the emergency vehicles! Saturday 7th September, 2pm to 6pm – Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square, York.
Bark in the Park at Raby Castle
Celebrate all things canine at Bark in the Park at Raby Castle. Bring your furry friends to enjoy agility demonstrations, hands-on training demos and the chance for your pup to strut their stuff in ‘have-a-go’ sessions. Bark in the Park – Sunday 29th September – From 10am
North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam Gala
Experience the thrill of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s Annual Steam Gala in 2024 as they showcase up to 11 magnificent locomotives in full steam. Your day ticket allows you to hop-on and hop-off services all day. Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th September 2024
