Part of Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate between York and Harrogate, KM is known for its exceptional facilities, excellent extra-curricular offering, 24/7 pastoral support, and for being the main feeder school into the high-ranking QE College and QE Faculty schools. We seamlessly bridge the gap between primary and secondary education whilst allowing time for pupils to compete nationally across a broad range of specialism.

A KM experience is about choice and discovery. Students select from 100 activities including Games Design, Enterprise Club, Mandarin, Esports and Woodlands Survival. In Year 6, pupils choose two curriculum options and in Year 7, talented students can join a pathway in performance sport or performing arts. By Year 9, our students have experienced QE's 36 GCSE options, so they are well-rounded and prepared for Year 10 options.

Unlike other schools, we forgo Year 6 SATs for additional learning in languages, computer science and 'future skills' such as digital literacy, AI, entrepreneurship, information retention and revision.
