We’re going on a (Leeds) Bear Hunt!

Leeds Bear Hunt 2023

We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re going to catch a big one…We’re unbearably excited about a new, free sculpture trail that’s running throughout the summer in Leeds: the Leeds Bear Hunt. This free public art trail, inspired by the much-loved Michael Rosen book, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, features a whopping 85 colourful sculptures. There are 50 super-sized bears and 35 smaller bear cubs to be found (you’ll need plenty of honey or marmalade sandwiches to power you around the whole thing!). The trail is on now and ends on 9th September 2023, when some of the sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for Leeds Children’s Hospital.

This lovely outdoor trail is free, open to everyone and is a really fun way to explore Leeds this summer. There are loads of great things to do with kids in the city centre, from the Royal Armouries (free admission) to Leeds City Museum (free admission). For more bear-related fun, pop into the bear cave at Trinity Leeds (next to Boots) to pick up a map and more bear-related merchandise (all profits again go to Leeds Children’s Hospital). So, for something fun and free to do this summer, add the Leeds Bear Hunt to your list. What a beautiful day out!
