Best Lunches in York with Kids Little VikingsThis stunning restaurant, house in Yorkshire’s only five star hotel, The Grand, is perfect for a real treat. It serves a selection of small plates ideal for sharing with your kids – or not! Failing that, The Rise also offers a children’s menu filled with classics like mac and cheese and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. The churros also come recommended by us – our children devoured them. It’s welcoming, relaxed and the food is really tasty. Read our review to see how we got on when we visited with our kids for lunch. The Rise also serves Grand Afternoon Tea daily, with a tower of treats available for children featuring gingerbread people and jam sandwiches. Yum.
