Jingle bells! A Kirkgate Christmas Tale at York Castle Museum

The Victorians knew how to do Christmas, so where better to immerse yourselves in all things festive than Kirkgate, York Castle Museum’s recreated Victorian street? New for 2021, A Kirkgate Christmas Tale promises large-scale projections telling a story of festive merriment. Colourful animations of Victorian puppets will go on an adventure to bring the magic of Christmas back to Kirkgate, accompanied by music and lights. As always, pre-booking is advised to guarantee entry. Here are the dates you can catch the festivities:

From November 13th: Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am-4 pm

The following dates in December:

– Wednesdays & Thursdays until December 23rd, 11 am to 8 pm.

– Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st December, 11 am to 8 pm

– Fridays 11 am to 4 pm

– Saturday to Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm

Tickets to the Christmas experience are included within general admission to York Castle Museum, so you can make a full festive family trip of it.

Selected dates in November, December and January 2021 – Adults – £13, Child £6.50, concessions available
