A great brew and a really good brownie are guaranteed at Brew and Brownie, but it’s famous for its pancakes. Our kids can happily make their way through a stack: choose from the likes of banana and Nutella, salted caramel or maple syrup, streaky bacon and blueberries. Lovely cakes and sandwiches are the order of the day later on. The newer sister cafe, Brew & Brownie Bakeshop, is just as lovely and just along the street so don't despair if you can't get a table. Both are just opposite the entrance to York Museum Gardens, so we often pop in for a cake or coffee to take out and enjoy in the wonderful Yorkshire sunshine!
