If you've always got half a jar of slightly furry pesto in the fridge (please say it's not just us), you should try making your own. Our kids gobble it up and it's so tasty that there are never any leftovers to get mouldy! If you've got a food processor/blender, it couldn't be easier. Adjust the amount of garlic depending on how garlicky you'd like it.
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 70g fresh basil leaves
- Pinch of salt
- 50g grated cheese (cheddar/parmesan)
- 50g pine nuts
- 125ml olive oil
1. Add all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and whizz until totally smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Done!
