Join us at Waterstones York for our April Junior Book Club! This book club is for children who love books and want a place to talk about them!

For April, we have chosen our first bookclub pick which is, ‘The Land of Roar!’ by Jenny McLachlan. In this book, we meet Arther and Rose when they’re little who were heroes in the Land of Roar! However, the Land of Roar is an imaginary land they found in a bed in their granddad’s attic… but when clearing out the attic one day they find that maybe this imaginary land isn’t quite imaginary!

Children do not need to read this book if they do not want to. Just as long as they bring a book that they want to talk about for the next meeting.

Meetings are on the last Sunday of every month at 3pm and are held in our children section! This month it will be held on the 26th of April.

All members of the Junior Book Club will also receive their very own Junior Book Club card which gives them 10% off the children’s books in our store. This card is only applicable in our Coney Street store.

We encourage children of all ages to come and join our Junior Book Club and can sign up in store or email us at york@waterstones.com to sign up externally.
