Dark Skies Festival 2020 – Best Bits for Kids

If there’s one event that will help your children that the dark can be enjoyed rather than feared, it’s the annual Dark Skies Festival. Taking place across two of the most stunning areas of the county – the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales – from 14th February to 1st March 2020, there will be over 100 events to get involved with, including lots of family-friendly activities.

Our highlights of the Dark Skies Festival 2020 for families

  • Go Ape! Night zip
  • A multimedia indoor planetarium pop-up experience which gives you a 360 degree journey through the stars
  • Stargazing safaris
  • Ghost walks through Robin Hood’s Bay
  • Moonrock geocache, galactic treasure hunts, young artist starry night workshop and other crafty activities
