Yorkshire Rose Academy of Dance (YRAD) is a fun, friendly and professional dance school where dancers feel like part of a family. Many students grow with us over the years, enjoying multiple classes, making lifelong friends, and developing their skills at their own pace.

Founded by Miss Kerry Whitfield, a graduate of the world-renowned Royal Ballet School, YRAD combines professional training with a warm, supportive atmosphere that helps every dancer shine.

Classes are taught by qualified, experienced teachers and former professional dancers who are passionate about supporting both physical development and mental wellbeing, ensuring every dancer feels safe, valued and confident.

Children build coordination, flexibility, musicality and self-belief while learning to dance safely and joyfully. YRAD follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus for Ballet and offers RAD examinations, alongside a full timetable of exciting weekly classes.

With bi-annual showcases, workshops, summer schools, optional private lessons and fun trips, students enjoy brilliant opportunities to perform, progress and shine. Welcoming dancers from age 2 1⁄2 upwards. YRAD is a vibrant, community-focused school where every dancer can flourish — from their very first step to the stage and beyond.
