Come out to play at Beningbrough this half term holiday. Explore the gardens and get involved with the Harvest Heroes hunt or take part in a nature-related activity (available on selected days). There’s space to play on the south lawn, trees to climb and fish to spot or head to the wilderness play area and den zone. Call into the hall and discover the new art exhibition The Botanical World of Mary Delany. Open every day for half term – 26th October to 3rd November – free to National Trust members and under-fives
Harvest Heroes – Saturday 26th October to Sunday 3rd November
Embark on an epic adventure through the walled garden! Seek out the eight hidden Harvest Heroes, mark them off on your spotter sheet and gather the secret letters. Once you’ve discovered them all, rearrange the letters to reveal the mystery harvest word. Drop-in nature-related activities will take place on Tuesday 29 and Thursday 31 October in the American Garden
Wilderness play area – open daily
Try out the wilderness play area where little (and big) explorers can test their climbing skills on two different clamber stacks. With slides for all ages, a climbing wall, and a rope bridge, there’s plenty of adventure to be had. Choose from a variety of swings, including a spacious cantilever bucket seat perfect for a group of friends. If you’re feeling creative, the den-building zone is waiting for you to build your own woodland hideaway. Don’t forget your coats and wellies—autumn fun often comes with a little mud and plenty of memories made.
Visiting the Hall
We can’t promise sunshine, but if it rains, come inside to the Hall. Explore The Botanical World of Mary Delany art exhibition, practice your paper folding techniques in the origami room or experience the space using the sensory bags available.
Dogs are welcome in most areas of the garden, but please keep them out of the play area for everyone’s enjoyment. This is a promotional feature in partnership with our friends at the National Trust.
