This lovely family-run open farm is a great place to visit with young children – we love seeing the animals, exploring the adventure playground and having something to eat in the cafe. Situated just outside York, there's free parking, plenty of picnic space and it's a great option for birthday parties for animal-mad kids too.

Beetle Bank Farm is situated in the beautiful rural village of Murton (only four miles away from York city centre) with acres of fields to roam and let off steam.
