The best day of the year, Yorkshire Day, is fast approaching and this year, something sheepish is heading to the heart of York. Flock, a friendly herd of dancing sheep, is set to take over the piazza outside York Minster for a one-of-a-kind celebration on Saturday 2nd August 2025.
From 12pm to 5pm, you’ll be able to meet Heidi, Henrietta and their loveable lambs as they strut their stuff and charm the crowds with their baa-rmy dance moves. With performances scheduled at 2pm, 3:30pm and 5pm, there’s are plenty of chances to join the fun, take a selfie and enjoy a joyful Yorkshire moment with your own flock!
This playful performance is the brainchild of York BID, the team behind the Actual Reality Arcade, which brought over 2,000 visitors into the city centre last month. Their goal is to create memorable, family-friendly experiences that give both locals and visitors another reason to love York.
Whether you’re here on holiday or lucky enough to call York home, don’t miss it. No tickets are needed, just turn up! See ewe there!
