Head to York Theatre Royal this Christmas for a spectacular family pantomime! CBeebies superstar, Evie Pickerill, will be taking to the stage as Fairy Moonbeam. Jennie is no stranger to the spotlight, with an impressive career spanning TV and theatre. Alongside entertaining little pirates on Swashbuckle, she’s also the face of Jennie’s Fitness in 5 on CBeebies and CBBC. Her theatre credits are just as dazzling, including Elf (Dominion Theatre), Sister Act (London Palladium), Mary Poppins (Prince Edward Theatre), and The Lord of the Rings (Theatre Royal Drury Lane). Panto fans will recognise her from previous CBeebies Christmas shows, where she’s brought to life characters such as Growl in Beauty and the Beast, Sheriff in Robin Hood, Mrs Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington and His Cat, and Jiffy in Christmas in Storyland. Jennie joins Robin Simpson who will return to York Theatre Royal as the Dame.

This year’s Sleeping Beauty is penned by Paul Hendy, directed by Juliet Forster, and co-produced by award-winning Evolution Productions, the creative powerhouse behind York Theatre Royal’s smash-hit pantos All New Adventures of Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk, and last year’s Aladdin. With a fantastic cast, a magical story, and plenty of laughs, Sleeping Beauty promises to be a spellbinding treat for families in York this Christmas. Early birds who book before the end of March 2025 can benefit from a price freeze on ticket prices, with options ranging from £15 to £43.50.
