This half term, try the brand-new ‘My Marvellous Maps of York Minster’ trail, inspired by the beautiful illustrations of Isabel Saul. Follow the clues, spot the details, and uncover the stories of the people, patterns, and places that make the Minster so special. Fancy a different adventure? Pick up one of the regular family trails instead – there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.

You can also borrow a Little Explorer Backpack from the Welcome Desk, packed with tools and gadgets to help you investigate every corner of the cathedral. Keep an eye out for Mason Mouse’s Wonder Box, filled with fun activity packs bursting with puzzles, experiments and colouring sheets to enjoy as you go.

Don’t miss the Undercroft Museum (one of our favourite parts(, where you can step back in time and get hands-on with York’s history. Can you lift the mighty Horn of Ulf? Round off your visit with a peaceful walk through York Minster’s parks and gardens, and be sure to say hello to Paddington in Dean’s Park before you go.
