As if there wasn’t enough to look forward to in York during February half term already, here’s something else to squeeze in: Colour and Light at York Minster. This FREE 8-minute show will run on selected dates and no booking is needed. Using various animation techniques and styles, the after-dark projection show will illuminate the Minster showcasing elements of the rich historical archives in a new and engaging way while emphasising the grandeur and ornate detail of York Minster’s architecture.
It’s another York Bid initiative to brighten up the city during the darker months and we love the sound of it. Children love heading out after dark and it’s a great way to see the city without the crowds.

– Colour and Light runs outside York Minster from February 10th to 23rd 2023 (6pm to 9pm)
– Free, no booking required
– Viewers are invited to stay for as many showings as they wish.
