Celebrate Miffy’s 70th Birthday at Leeds City Museum!

Leeds City Museum is celebrating the 70th birthday of everyone’s favourite bunny, Miffy, with a gorgeous, interactive exhibition this year. Whether you grew up with the Miffy books or your little ones are discovering her for the first time, this special exhibition is an easy trip from York, and is one of our top picks for families in 2025. The Miffy exhibition runs from 7th February to 7th September 2025.

About the Miffy exhibition

A celebration of the colourful world of Miffy, the much-loved character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna, the exhibition will be packed with hands-on activities and creative displays that bring Miffy to life. Kids can explore, play, and discover in a curious world of imagination, while parents can enjoy a nostalgic look at Dick Bruna’s timeless artwork.

The exhibition doesn’t just focus on Miffy’s storybooks, but also showcases Bruna’s other creations, including posters, book covers, logos and his work for charities. There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy in this beautifully designed space.

Getting there

If you’re coming from outside Leeds, we’d always recommend getting public transport (we’re not massive fans of driving around the city, or trying to find a parking space). Leeds City Museum is in the city centre and is easy to reach by train or bus.

  • By train: York to Leeds is a quick 25-minute train journey. Leeds City Museum is just a 10-minute walk from Leeds train station. Plan your journey with National Rail.
  • By bus: Several buses connect York and Leeds. Check schedules and plan your route with First Bus.
