For the best part of a decade, our mission has been to connect families to the very best things to do in and around York, pointing them in the direction of the places where they’ll be warmly welcomed and have a positive experience. We make those connections through our school holiday guides, annual Family Guide to York, website, Little Vikings Awards and social media, reaching thousands of parents online and in print.

The Little Vikings ‘We’re family-friendly’ window sticker scheme is an important part of our quest, helping businesses shout about their family-friendly credentials to passing parents in York. We’ve just relaunched it, and we’d love to see the stickers in as many windows and doors as possible, encouraging families to try restaurants, cafes, shops and other places that they might think aren’t for them. While it’s easy to go for the safe, tried and tested option of a national chain where you know there’ll be a highchair and baby changing for example, we’d love families to try more of York’s independent businesses as they’re often very well set up too. Our sticker instantly says to parents ‘Come in! And bring your kids’.
