Red Riding Hood: A storytelling and crafts event by Robin Simpson – rise@Bluebird Bakery
About the event:
Ever been interested in making your very own shadow puppets?
Using simple items that you’ll find around the house (or in the recycling bin), storyteller Robin Simpson will lead an exciting workshop on how to do just that! After watching Robin tell the tale of Little Red Riding Hood, he will take you through the step-by-step process of making your own shadow theatre and puppets.
With easy-to-follow instructions, Robin can help you create characters and everything needed for your very own story. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and kick off the holidays.
We will provide materials, but please bring cardboard boxes if you have any to hand!
“The man who ran the session was INCREDIBLE. So talented, so patient, so caring and calm – it was amazing. My kids will remember this event for ages, and they showed all their family the puppets and theatres they made. It was such a fantastic workshop. I feel like the man running it went above and beyond to make it brilliant. I’d love to see more of his shows.”
