Halloween lantern walk and storytelling in the fairy wood at Northwood Trail
This October half term, Northwood Trail is hosting a guided walk with strange tales through the twilight fairy woods. These lantern walks take place at dusk and first dark and are aimed at little ones or those of all ages who would rather not be scared witless, but want to enjoy a more seasonal experience instead.
Arrive at the Northwood Kitchen and enjoy a free glass of alcoholic or non-alcoholic punch, then head out on the guided walk with a storytelling guide cloaked in autumn. Enjoy tales from Professor Howland’s collection as you stroll through a lantern-lit fairy wood (around an hour). Afterwards, enjoy the autumn grotto and the fairy museum and relax in the Northwood Kitchen bar.
Good to know – There are very limited sessions with a maximum of 30 people per session. Come dressed for the season with appropriate footwear. Parts of the walk in the woods are very dark, so you may want to bring a lantern or small torch. There are lanterns for sale, subject to availability. Please be on time for your session and arrive in good time as they cannot delay the starts.
