
I CAN PLAY! Music-making at York Music Centre
The National Centre for Early Music’s I Can Play! programme provides music-making opportunities for D/deaf children across the city of York. ‘I Can Play’ sessions at York Music Centre on Saturday mornings are all about having fun! Play musical games, explore instruments, sing and sign songs, compose music and make friends!
D/deaf children, their siblings and Children of D/deaf Adults (CODAs) are welcome. Parents of children aged 0 to 4yrs must stay for the session. Parents of children aged 5+ are welcome (but not obliged) to stay for the session.

Accessibility – The sessions are delivered in signed and spoken English by Deaf and hearing practitioners and supported by a BSL interpreter.
