
Hello Autumn! at Rowntree Park
Head to Rowntree Park on Sunday, 15th September 2024 from 1 pm to 4 pm for a celebration of all things autumn. This popular event has a traditional vibe and celebrates the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, all with a fun, apple-themed focus!
Event Details: The event is free to attend, but some crafts and activities may have a small fee and require booking in advance due to limited spaces. Other activities are drop-in and free to enjoy, though donations are welcomed.
This event is part of York Environment Week 2024 and features a variety of activities and attractions, including:
Apple Pressing: Try your hand at pressing apples!
Apple Identification and Information: Learn about different apple varieties.
Family Crafts and Activities: Including willow weaving, apple printing, acorn felting, corn dolly creations, and wood carving (more activities to be confirmed).
Storytelling
The Apple Olympics: Fun apple-themed games and challenges.
Cakes, Bakes, and Jam Stall: Enjoy delicious homemade treats.
Live Music: Enjoy live music throughout the event.
There will also be information stalls from local organizations focused on the environment, nature, and traditional crafts and activities.
Booking or Drop-In?
The overall event is free, and many activities, such as apple crafts and apple pressing, are available for you to drop in at your leisure. Enjoy live music and explore various stalls without needing to book.
