Those of you who’ve missed York Maze this summer will be pleased to hear that it’s opening its doors again in October. The popular (terrifying) Hallowscream nighttime event might be off, but older kids can scare themselves silly at Hallowtween. Aimed at children aged 10 to 15 years who are too young for intense scares but too old for trick-or-treating, there’ll be haunted houses to explore, live stage acts, street theatre characters and sideshows. You can take a break at the food court or one of the break-out characters if it all gets too much!
