A place to play, a place to explore, a place to build dens, swing from trees, and feel the freedom of childhood...Welcome to Yorkshire Muddings! We run weekly stay-and-play forest school sessions for children up to the age of 5 (or older on weekends and in school holidays) with a qualified forest school leader and primary school teacher, these sessions are the perfect way to spend time outdoors in nature. We run, we crunch leaves, we find bugs, we explore the rhododendron bushes, we dig in mud, and we discover the magic and freedom of our HUGE private wild woodland. We always end the two-hour session with a campfire, stories, toasted marshmallows and a song.
In rain, we have a shelter, we’ve got loads of free and accessible parking, our own toilet, baby change and a proper kitchen for free tea and coffee!
