Castle Howard’s award-winning Christmas experience is back, and this year’s theme is Alice’s Christmas Wonderland! Alice is planning a huge Christmas party, and you’re invited. In fact, you can enter our competition and might just win a family ticket! Read on for details.
We went along to the preview of this year’s Christmas at Castle Howard, and it’s incredible. As a Little Vikings Award-winning festive experience – not to mention an important part of our own family’s Christmas traditions – the stakes are always high for it to be as good as the year before. Well, we’re delighted to say that it’s absolutely gorgeous. It delights and surprises from beginning to end, with the incredible attention to detail that we’ve come to expect. It’s colourful, playful, memory-making and – yes – even better than last year! Here’s what you need to know if you’d like to visit:
– Alice’s Christmas Wonderland runs from 15th November 2024 to 5th January 2025
– Tickets must be pre-booked online, and don’t forget to book your parking too
– Check out the other festive experiences, including festive afternoon tea and even a secret dining room serving Wonderland-themed cocktails!

Win a family ticket to Christmas at Castle Howard!
The lucky winner will receive a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) to the Alice in Christmas Wonderland experience at Castle Howard. Wander through the stately home’s grand halls, with twists and turns around every corner. With set design from Charlotte Lloyd Webber Event Design and projections from theatre company imitating the dog, this is fantastic opportunity to experience Christmas at a place like no other. Make the most of your day by toasting giant marshmallows by the Christmas tree, stock up on seasonal essentials at the Farm Shop and for the first time ever, Bettys are hosting a pop-up shop in the Stable Courtyard.
