- This National Trust 18th century house and its pretty grounds have plenty to offer for a family day out. As well as the house itself, there are beautiful gardens with plenty of space to run about, and a great adventure playground area too. It’s not just an outdoor option either – head upstairs in the house for hands-on fun for kids. We spend a lot of time here and always have a great time.
Good to know – If you fancy a walk around the grounds, pick up a map in reception. There are a few alternatives depending on how energetic you’re feeling. For stunning views across to York, go to the top of the house. Free entry to National Trust members.
