Horned helmets are out. For this summer at least, it’s all about medieval York. From 3rd August until the end of the month, York is one of the host cities for the 2nd Yorkshire Medieval Festival. There’s a packed programme of events at venues across the city, many of which are aimed at families. There’s the Goo, Guilds and Gargoyles Walk, a chance to meet Terry Deary of Horrible Histories fame and loads of opportunities to put your knight skills to the test in Camelot (or York Theatre Royal as it’s otherwise known). Take a look at our what’s on guide for more information. For details on all the events, visit www.yorkshire-medieval-festival.com.
