Wondering what to do this this bonfire night in York: stand around a fire in the garden, get some of those indoor fireworks and watch the kids’ faces (but not their belongings, hopefully) light up in the darkened kitchen or go to one of the big events? If it’s an event you’re after, there are a few choices. We’re old enough to remember the spectacular fireworks displays at Cliffords Tower, but sadly they’re long gone.
One of the most popular events now is the huge firework display and bonfire at York Maze. With live music, sideshows, food stalls and much more, it’ll be a night to remember. The play areas will be open after the fireworks too, if your kids are still lively enough to get stuck into the sand pit. Tickets must be booked in advance so don’t turn up on the night without one! They’re on sale now through the York Maze website.
York Maze – 5th November 2015 – 4.30pm to 10.30pm – £15/£10/under 3s free – visit the York Maze website for more info
