York Mansion House is back! And what’s more, there’s free entry for York residents and all key workers until 30th May. Opening its doors again on 19th May 2021, the Mansion House – York’s most exclusive address – will be welcoming visitors from Wednesday to Sundays, with timed slots available for households or bubbles to book for a self-guided visit. Collect a printed map or download the free app for an immersive experience. It’s well worth taking children – ours have been a few times and really enjoy nosing around, especially the Georgian kitchen where you can imagine the smells of a peacock roasting and even have a go at cooking a virtual meal. It’s also perfectly located for exploring the rest of the city, having a run about in the Museum Gardens and maybe even treating yourselves to an ice cream from the ice cream ambulance or ice cream boat!
