The official residence of the Lord Mayor of York, the Mansion House has been at the centre of extravagant city life for almost 300 years.  Now open for you and your little ones to experience the decadence of Mayoral Life, and take a peek into Georgian life, this is truly a house like no other.

After the success of the Haunted House and Christmas tours last year, the team have been busy developing a brand new family-friendly tour – Little Lord Mayors.

Designed for children aged 5-12 (though all ages are very welcome), the Little Lord Mayors tour will take you and your little ones on a guided adventure through the Mansion House, discovering hidden treasures and magical secrets. You will meet colourful characters and explore secret areas, and learn all about the fascinating Lord Mayors who lived and worked in the house for centuries.

Booking and safety measures

Each tour is limited to six people, and advance booking is essential. As always, York residents can receive 50% off admission, and in order to keep everyone as safe as possible, there have been a number of steps introduced, which you can read about here.
