We don’t know about you, but we’re really, REALLY looking forward to spring this year. We’re already keeping our eye out for signs of the seasons changing, including the first daffodils to bloom on York’s city walls. In fact, each year there’s a Twitter competition to be the first person to take a photo of a daffodil on the city walls – follow https://twitter.com/yorkwalls and keep your eye out to join in. What’s more, this year there’s a new competition that’s just for kids.
York during spring art competition
The York Walls Twitter account and The York BID have teamed up to offer one lucky little artist the chance to win a £25 York Gift Card, and we’re delighted to be helping with the judging. The gift card can be redeemed at a range of York’s city centre businesses including shops, hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, attractions, museums and galleries. Find the full list of where you can spend it here. All you have to do is send us a picture of your child’s drawing of York’s city walls in springtime. Here are the details:
– The competition is open to anyone up to the age of eleven
– Please send a photograph of your child’s picture of York’s walls during spring to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include their name and age (but let us know if you don’t want those details published)
– Let us know if you do NOT wish your child’s picture to be shared on the Little Vikings or York BID social media or websites
– The competition will close on Sunday 21st March 2021 and one winner will be selected and announced on or around Easter Sunday 2021.
