Who let the creeps out? New walking tour from York Dungeon

York Dungeon Walking Tours 2021

The darkest history of York will be coming to light this April as The York Dungeon announces its brand-new, frighteningly fun and family-friendly city walking tour. It’s a fun, Covid-safe activity for all the famiy and an entertaining way to discover more about York’s dark past. Tours start on Friday 16th April 2021 and will run from Friday to Sunday, with a range of start times throughout the day.

Family day trips and city sightseeing have been limited over the past year, but The York Dungeon has the perfect plan for an eerie and exciting day out as we leave lockdown. Guests will be taken on a tour of some of York’s most hair-raising historic locations by two of the Dungeon’s best-loved characters, discovering real-life tales of the city’s murky past along the way. Customer safety is of the upmost importance, so all tours have been fully adapted to be Covid-19 secure, including social distancing, limited tour size and the whole of the tour taking place outside.

Tickets and timings

Tours will depart from outside The York Dungeon at 12:00 pm, 13:30 pm, 15:00 pm and 16:30 pm and will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Guests must pre-book tickets in advance via The York Dungeon website (£6.50 for adults and £5.50 for children). Tours will be limited to just 15 peasants, so early booking is recommended to avoid ‘orrible disappointment. All children aged 5 -15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over.
