Up, up and away! York Balloon Fiesta is back at York Knavesmire for 2019, from 27th to 29th September. There’ll be over 50 hot air balloons over the course of the weekend – some flying, others tethered – as well as a funfair, entertainment, laser and firework display. Weather permitting, the highlights include:
Friday night Night Glow: 9pm – 9.20pm
Saturday mass balloon launch: 4.45pm – 5.45pm
Saturday firework and laser show: 9.50pm – 10pm
Sunday Owl Adventures Bird Flying Show: 2.15pm to 2.45pm
Find the whole York Balloon Fiesta timetable here. After last year’s traffic issues, parking is limited and everyone is encouraged to travel on foot, by bus or bike. There are two buses organised for York Balloon Fiesta:
- From Askham Bar Park & Ride – £5
- From York Train Station – £3
