It’s less than a year since Technology in Play hit the York STEAM scene, and they’ve made quite a splash. If you’ve joined a class, been along to their showcase or tried their activities at the National Railway Museum, you’ll know that they make science, technology and engineering hugely fun and incredibly accessible for children from 18 months upwards. They’ll do experiments, build, craft, construct and learn early coding and computing principles too.
Toddler classes run during the week at Heslington Meeting Rooms, Oaken Grove Community Centre and Millfield Fitness Studio, while classes for older children (5+) run at Joseph Rowntree School on weekday evenings and Bootham Junior School at weekends. Technology in Play area also running Easter holiday camps: what could be better than a whole day’s STEAM fun?
