You’re never too young to experience good music, whatever the genre, so we’re delighted that the National Centre for Early Music – just off Walmgate – runs family-friendly concerts. Coming up on Sunday 26th November is Opera Tales from Opera North, a new concert that will take the audience on a spell-binding journey through the exciting, magical and often strange world of opera. There’ll be storytelling, sublime song and breathtaking music, the likes of which many children won’t have experienced before. It’s designed for children aged 4 upwards, and it takes place in the welcoming warmth of the NCEM. If you’ve never been to a family show there, you’ll be amazed by how lovely and relaxed it all is. Leave your best opera outfits at home!
