York Maze reopens
One of York’s top attractions for families, York Maze reopens for the summer this weekend. There’s a new Crowbot show, new Crowmania ride and lots more to look forward to. Opens 16th July until 5th September, 10am to 6.30pm. More details here
The Acomb Dance Arts & Music Festival takes place on Saturday 16th July between 10am and 2pm. Head to Acomb Explore library, and sign your kids up for the fab Summer Reading Challenge while you’re there. It’s free and it’ll encourage them to enjoy a summer of books. You can also sign up at all the other York Explore libraries from Saturday onwards.

City Screen Kids’ Club: Arrietty (U)
14-year-old Arrietty and the rest of the Clock family live in peaceful anonymity as they make their own home from items that they borrow from the house’s human inhabitants. However, life changes for the Clocks when a human boy discovers Arrietty. Saturday 16th July – City Screen, York – film starts 11.15am – £1.50 per ticket. More details here. Beehive Beach Bonanza
Head along to this summer fundraiser for lots of seaside fun, including donkey rides, games, ice cream, stalls and even a beach, apparently! Sunday 17th July – 11.30am to 2.30pm – Low Moor Centre, Fulford, York – Free entry. More details here.
Rowntree Park Birthday Party
